At Kaveri we are proud to say that we ethically source all our materials from small businesses within Australia. Communicating with our wholesalers, we ensure their products are of high quality and are ethically sourced. Mindfully selecting each shell and pearl, we carefully thread and knot each piece creating a unique and extensive story behind every design.

Our mission is to bring back handmade designs that reflect our amazing coastal landscapes and to encourage others to appreciate the beauty of nature. Our commitment to researching the origins and sources of our cowrie shells, freshwater pearls and materials, ensures that they are of high standards.
We support fellow small Australian businesses and handcraft all our products. Using natural and recycled materials, at Kaveri our goal is to create affordable water-resistant jewellery that requires little maintenance and helps sustain a better (only) world.

As a serious ocean lover and environmentalist, we ethically source recycled cotton from local businesses. Our much loved cowrie anklets, micro-macrame necklaces and larger custom pieces use high quality eco-friendly recycled materials.
Why we love Recycled cotton!
Let’s face it, conventional cotton isn’t great! In fact it has one of the highest environmental impacts per kilogram of any manufactured material. But - recycled cotton is a different story - the reuse of existing cotton requires no pesticides, fertilisers or water and emits about ten times less CO² than conventional new cotton.

Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end with our materials. We also strive to reduce our carbon footprint by minimising waste and using eco-friendly packaging.
In a world where we are forever multiplying and manufacturing new designs, it is vital that industries find new avenues to reuse and reduce materials. Did you know that ‘single-use’ was the ‘word of the year’ by the Oxford dictionary in 2018? With this in mind, part of our sustainability plan is to consider the lifecycle of our packaging.
Eco-friendly packaging is not only healthier for us and our environment, but it also creates an inviting appearance with its soft textures, warm colours and earthy, organic aesthetic.

Since our materials are manufactured, harvested and handcrafted right here on our home coastlines, this reduces unnecessary travel from overseas. For example, our recycled cotton is sourced only walking distance away from where we create our designs, our freshwater pearls and cowrie shells, are sourced from Australian waters, by Australians, and our gold and silver findings are handcrafted in our childhood city.

We work closely with small businesses that have similar intentions of reinforcing earth conscious products. Our local community is filled with individuals who admire our captivating coastal landscapes, and we are so honoured to be apart of it. Each photoshoot involves local hair dresses, photographers and models who appreciate the essence of salt, sand and sun-kissed skin.
